How to apply for a place at Barlborough Hall School

We hope that our website has given you an insight into what an education at Barlborough Hall School could offer your child. Of course, the best way of finding out more is to visit us.  Please ring the school office (01246 810511) to make an appointment for an informal tour on any school day, when you will have the opportunity to meet the Headteacher, Mrs Parkinson, visit classrooms and see our extensive facilities.  You may also enjoy the opportunity to have a look around on one of our open mornings.  These are held in the autumn and spring terms.  You can also download the prospectus by clicking on the image to the right.

We encourage older children to have a taster day, during which some assessments may take place to help us with settings etc.

Barlborough Hall School is the preparatory school to Mount St Mary's College, situated 10 minutes' drive away.  Both schools share the same ethos, and children transfer very happily from the junior to the senior school at the end of Elements I (Year 6).

Children at Barlborough Hall are guaranteed a place at Mount St Mary's (subject to a transfer test), which is oversubscribed for children applying for entry at age 11 from other schools.

Fees

Our fees for 2010 - 2011 include the cost of textbooks and exercise books, and a lunchtime meal.  Parents pay for class trips and outings as extras.  Bursaries are available to assist families applying for places at Barlborough Hall School and childcare vouchers can also be used at nursery level.
